By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. (Received May 24, 7.30 p.m.) Sydney, May 24. /Another boating mystery similar to that in which the brothers Thompson were involved, in the same locality, and according to reports concerning the same launch, is reported. Four men who engaged the launch to go fishing on the Hawkesbury River are missing. An intensive search is being carried out. FISHING EXCURSION Grave Fears For Men’s Safety (Received May 25, 12.25 a.m.) Sydney, May 24. It is now definitely established that the launch engaged by the four missing men was that formerly hired by the Thompsons, but since repaired. The identity of the missing men has not clearly been established. They engaged the boat on Saturday forenoon with the object of fishing at the entrance of Hawkesbury River. High seas and bad weather have since prevailed. Police boats are unable to search the coast, and grave fears are entertained for the men’s safety. They had intended to return the launch on Saturday afternoon. A motor-car belonging to one of the men and some of their clothing remain unclaimed at the launch proprietor’s sheds. WASHED OFF CLIFFS Unknown Man and Woman Drowned (Received May 25, 12.35 a.m.) Sydney, -May 24. A man and a woman, not yet identified, were washed off the (dills near Bronte to-day and drowned. It is believed the man was fishing and the woman was looking on Lorn a higher ledge. The man was engulfed by a wave, and, although a strong swimmer, he tried unsuccessfully for half an hour to reach the rocks, watched by people on the cliff-top who were helpless to aid him. Finally he waved farewell and sank. The woman descended the rocks and apparently tried to seize the man, but she was swept into the sea.
