Splendid Specimen From Rotoiti An eleven-pound trout caught in Lake Rotoiti, Rotorua, was delivered to the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. E. Parry, yesterday. Tbe fish, a splendid specimen of the rainbow species, was sent to the Minister by the angler who caught it on the fly, with a note: “This fish proves that at least one big fish story is right; it’s bunkum to say that the fish up here iji the lakes have gone off iu condition; this boy herewith, with my fishy and frisky regards, proves that they ain’t.”

Other reports from the Taupo and Rotorua fisheries to the Minister yesterday stated that anglers were enjoying splendid results, particularly from tiie Tongariro River. Tokaanu. One officer stated: "The fish at Tongariro are wonderful; splendid catches of fine fisli are recorded, and anglers are delighted. Manv of them weigh up to 101 b.”
