MARTON CLUB’S MEETING
Dominion Special Service. Marton, May 22. The annual meeting of the Marton Jockey Club was held last evening, Mr. H. J. D. McManaway presiding. Th? president’s report stated that the club meetings had proved very successful and that the membership had shown a satisfactory increase. Finances were in a henlthv' state. Officers were elected as follow: Patron. Dr. S. Skorman: president. Mr. McManaway; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. It. E. Beckett. F. R. H. Brice. J. R. L. Stanford and J. Bull; committee and stewards. Dr. Skerman and Messrs. Beckett. Brice. J. Brice. H. J. Cameron. A. T. Gatreli. L. Hammond, McManaway. E. Openshaw, Bull. Stanford, S. R. Hammond, K. It. Scorn. A. IT. Marshall. W. R. Duncan. J. Quirk, H. T. Whale. IT. W. Lumpp and P. W. Briant; hon. treasurer, Mr. F. Brice.
There arc over 100 blind telephone operators working private telephone exchanges in all parts of Great Britain.
