William Powell plays an engagingly humorous role ami at the same time introduces Luise Rainer as bis leading lady in "Escapade,” Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's gay Continental drama, commencing this afternoon at the Palace Theatre, Petone. and then screening for three nights. "Escapade” is the story of an artist whose flirtations land him in trouble with the jealous husband of a former sweetheart, and a romance with a demure girl whom he chooses for an alibi in a mix-up over (lie painting of a married woman. The supporting programme with "Escapade” includes the Rugby match All Blacks v. Wales, the latest Laurel and Hardy comedy. "Til for Tat,” and the Pete Smith oddity, "Water Sports.”
