LUNCHEON AT Y.W.C.A.
The Y.W.C.A. Business and Professional Women’s Round Table Club held another of their popular and successful luncheons on Wednesday in the lecture room of- the Y.W.C.A., Boulcott Street. The T-shaped table at which the guests sat. looked most attractive with its vases of holly, and around the room were arranged baskets and bowls of hydrangeas and chrysanthemums. The guest of honour and speaker was the Rev. W. S. Hollings, who was introduced by Miss Audrey Betliell, a vice-president, and who gave a very interesting address on “Fascist Italy—lts Belter Side.” An appeal was made during the luncheon for assistance in raising tinsince for the Y.W.C.A. An effort was being made to raise £-">00 before the end of June. A business girls’ committee had been set up, and several enthusiastic meetings had been held, when many schemes had been evolved, one of them being a reception at which Miss Ethel Morrison and Miss Elaine Hamill would be the guests of honour.
