KING WEARS STRAW HAT
Industry’s Hopes Kindled (Received May 21, 1 a.m.) London, May 20. The King wore a straw hat with a dark grey double-breasted lounge suit when visiting the Chelsea flower show, thus reviving a pre-war summer fashion he introduced as Prince of Wales. The late King frequently wore a straw hat before the war, but not since. The straw hat industry is hoping that the King’s example will revive the neglected fashion.
