Shipments to United Kingdom
The Meal Board is advised by cable from its London office that the shipments from Australia, South America and South Africa to the United Kingdom during April were as follow:— Australia: 43.253 careases mutton: 232.503 carcases lamb: 45,535 quarters beef (frozen); 27,700 quarters beef (chilled). South America : 96,468 carcases mutton ; 549.045 careases lamb; 730 quarters beef (frozen); 571.947 quarters beef (chilled). Included in the South American figures are 391,951 carcases of lamb and 87,181 carcases of mutton shipped from I’atagon i a. South Africa : 2335 quarters' beef (ehilled). The shipments from New Zealand to the United Kingdom during April were as follow: 251.901 carcases mutton; 864.866 carcases lamb; 15,498 quarters beef (frozen); 17,756 quarters beef (chilled),
