TRADE TREATY SIGNED
United States and Finland (Received May 19. 10.10 p.m.) Washington, May 18. A trade treaty between America and Finland, the sixteenth under the Trade Agreements Act, 1934. was signed today. It provides for material reductions of duties on many exports to Finland, principally agricultural products, as well as imports from Finland. The latter country, moreover, cannot impose quantitative restrictions on imports from America. Finnish concessions affected 00 per cent, of exports' from the United States to Finland as for the year 1934, while reductions of duty are granted on 11 per cent, of imports from Finland.
