LECTURES. PUBLIC EVANS BAY YACHT AND MOTOR BOAT CLUB (INC.). rpilE Executive of the above Club is J- pleased to announce that two Lectures will be given in the Clubhouse on Thursday Evening. May 21. at S o clock, in aid of the Club's Rebuilding Fund. (1) The Pacific Islands. Mr. J. Paterson, .TP ■ (2) The Fijian‘Wands and New Zealand Sounds, Mr. Ilall-Raine. Both Lectures will be illustrated with appropriate views. Admission : 1/- Adults, bd. Children. A light supper will be provided; W.E.A. SHORT COURSE. A W.E.A. Short Course of Four Lectures on "Law and the Laymau” will be given by Mr. I. D. Campbell, LL.M., on Friday evenings at S o’clock in Room 2, Trades Hall Building, 12G 1 ivian Street, commencing on FRIDAY NENA, MAY 22. The subject will be dealt with as follows:—1. May 22: “Personal and Family Law.” 2. May 29: “Social and Industrial Law.” 3. June o: Criminal Law.” 4. June 12: “General Protection by Law.” The aim of this course will be to show what protection the law gives, and what rights can be claimed, by the ordinary citizen for himself, bis wife, and his family. These lectures should be of particular interest to those engaged in social welfare work, and to men and women workers generally.
