Physical Health Address At the opening of the meeting of the Moera branch of the League of Mothers, tile president, Mrs. McLean, called attention to the scroll in which the -Mothers’ League prayer had been inscribed by Mr. I’earee, the husband of one of the members A vote of thanks was carried for this beautiful gift. After the reading of the minutes the president introduced Miss Marion Todd, who gave an address on how it was possible in a very large measure to help ourselves with regard to health. She demonstrated her talk by means of exercises in physical culture., varied according to age, and suited to the very tmy child, and through the various stages to that or the grandmother. The greatest essential was stated tn be that of proper breathing. Mrs Ashforth, the secretary, warmly thanked Miss Todd for her very instructive address and demonstration. Mrs. Robinson presented Miss Todd with a bouquet. The newly-formed choir, augmented by some Lower Hutt members, gave their first items, “She Sleeps, My Lady Sleeps,” and “Drink to Me Only With Thine Eyes.” both being pleasingly rendered. Mrs. Kersley introduced the new organising secretary, Mrs. Jenson, who was present. Afternoon tea being served, the meeting closed with the singing of the National Anthem.
