RECITAL FOR FREE KINDERGARTEN

The rooms of the Pioneer Club, Lambtou Quay, were bright with masses of popples, hydrangeas, berries and green foliage on Saturday nignt, when a large number of music lovers attended a recital given by Madame Annie Laurie Trewman, the London mezzo-soprano, in aid of funds for the ■Wellington Free Kindergarten. Assisting Madame Trewman were Miss Ava Symons, Madame de Manny and M. Paul Vinogradoff. An excellent programme was given and thoroughly enjoyed by all present. The hostesses were Mrs. J. A. Doctor, Mrs. Macdonald Wilson, Mrs. Crammond and Mrs. G. P. H. Davidson. Among those who attended were; Mrs. Graham Robertson, Miss Valerie Corliss, Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Spidy, Mrs. Presbaw, Mrs. C.
