GUESTS ENTERTAINED
Private Dance at Lower Hutt Mr. and .Mrs. IV. Lance Moore,’who will go to Australia in the near future, chose a most delightful way of entertaining a lion t 70 friends when they gave a dance at the their home in Woburn Road, Lower Hutt, on Saturday night. The night was still and cool without being chilly, so that it was very pleasant to dance in the big living-room or sit out on the veranda, which had been closed in to shuit out any draught and made comforable with lounge chairs and cushions. An autumn note was seen throughout the house in the decorations of tawny chrysanthemums and rusted leaves. A gramophone with an amplifier attached was used with excellent effect to provide music for dancing. Mrs. Lance Moore wore a charming frock of gaily-flowered crepe de chine, with an unusual gathered cape, which was attached to the frock. The guests included: Mr. and Mrs. Erie Riddlford. Dr. and Mrs. Patrick Marshall, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Vogel, Mr. and Mrs. Geoffrey Goodwin, Mr. and Mrs. Fosbery Handyside. Miss Georgette Handyside, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Miles, Miss Hilda Miles, Mr. Lefeaux, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Morison, Mr. and Mrs. Blackley, Mr. and Mrs. P. B. Cooke, Mr. and Mrs. Maundrill Hobbs, Mr. and Mrs. C. White. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Grear, Mr. and Mrs. C. Birch, Mr. and Mrs. G. Callender, Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Macalister, Miss Claudia Weston.
