Lady Hutchison, who has been visiting Wellington, left for her home at Dunedin on Saturday night. Miss S. E. Shand, Dunedin, is the guest of Mrs. Hale Monro, Kelburn. Miss Sanders. Christchurch, is visiting Wellington. Mrs. Aylmer Vivian, Christchurch, is visiting Wellington. MLss M. Bales, Lower Unit, has left to spend a holiday in Auckland.

Miss Dorothy Boyce, Auckland, will arrive at Wellington this morning. Miss P. Staples, “Birdhurst.” Motneka, is the guest of Miss Miriam McLaren, Mt. Lofty, Levin.

Mrs. Cullen-Powell has returned to her home at Levin after a visit to Nelson.

Mrs. Victor Macky has returned to Auckland after a brief visit to Wellington.

Mrs. Harold Johnston, who has been visiting Whangarei and Auckland, left by car for New Plymouth yesterday. The Misses E. and M. Bell, M. Arnold and A. Gaze are Wanganui visi tors to Wellington. Mrs. L. A. Bain, Parnassus, and her daughter Beverley, are tiho guests of Mr, and Mrs. Collard, Lower Hutt.

Mrs. J. M. Gray. Auckland, is visiting 'Wellington, and is staying with her daughter, Miss Alice Gray. Dr. Kate Neill, Palmerston North, who has been spending several weeks in Wellington, has loft for Auckland. Mrs. Harry Luxford. Hamilton, is visiting her mother, Mrs, Macpherson, Wellington.

Miss Peggy James, Masterton, is the guest of Miss Janeti Miles, Wesley Road.

Miss Barbara Edie, Island Bay, is the guest of Mrs. C. Boag, Palmerston North.

Miss Nancy Webber, Wellington, is spending a short holiday at French Pass.

Mr. and Mrs. IV. 0. Urquhart, Northland, who have been visiting Australia, have returned to Wellington.

Mrs. Bailey, Te Awamutu, is spending a,short, holiday with her aunt, Mrs. S. M. Hobbs, Lower Hutt. Mrs. W. Olphert, Lower Hutt, is spending a holiday touring round the coast of New Zealand. Miss Gertrude Mather is staying with Mrs. N. M. Weir ati her home at Delmont.

Miss K. Kempthorne, Lower Hutt, is visiting the South Island, touring from Nelson to Dunedin. The Misses Marjorie and Audrey Harcourt, who are on a holiday visit to Wellington from Fiji, are staying at Croydon House, Hill Street. Mrs. E. B. Tustin, Wanganui, is visiting Wellington, and is the guest of Mrs. J. C. Tustin, Paisley Terrace, Karori.

Mr. and Mrs. Byron Mills and their family have returned to Wellington after a visit to the United States of America.

Mr. and Mrs. I. MacLeod will leave Palmerston North at the end of the month to take up their residence in Wellington, to which city Mr. MacLeod has been transferred. Mrs. W. G. Turnbull and Mrs. Warwick Turnbull motored to Ashhurst yesterday to spend a week as the guests of Mrs. F. Grotrian, “Kouewa,” Pohangina Valley. Mrs. Eugene Sullivan, Auckland, left by car during the week-end for Wellington, where she will be flic gue.st of Mrs. L. Leash. She will later go 10 Taranaki.

Miss Helen Pettersen, Christchurch, who has been the guest, of Mrs. C. A. Ironside, Cambridge Terrace, left by the Monowai for Sydney. Miss Pettersen will later proceed to London, when* she intends continuing her nursing profession. Miss Elsie Andrews, of New Plymouth, was elected a life member by the New Zealand Women Teachers’ Association at its annual meeting at Wellington on Saturday, when reference was made to her unsparing efforts for and work on behalf of the teaching profession.
