Qualifying- Round for Prince of Wales Cup BIG FIELD AT MIRAMAR Golfers enjoyed line weather over the week-end, though a strong northerly wind on Saturday afternoon took some battling against. The big field of 115 entered for the qualifying round for the Prince of Wales Cup on the Miramar links on Saturday. The best round of the afternoon was recorded by J. Shelly, who covered the course in 75. M. R. Moore went round in 76, and J. IL Smith, 11. A. Black and K. V. Jeffery took 77. The list of qualifiers for the Prince of IVales Cup was headed by I*l. Palliser, whose card read 88-18-70, which was good enough to win him the trophy for the best medal score in the junior division. J. Shelly won in the senior division with 75-3-72. L. I). Hurst also did a 75, but did not enter for the qualifying round. No fewer than 14 players returned net scores of 78, and an only four of these were required the lucky ones on a draw were IL T.
