AUTUMN

Autumn is a lady, Bountiful and fair; Her eyes are like dewdrops And red-gold is her hair. In. the forest greenery. Bound the garden bed. Autumn spills her treasures. Yellow, gold and red. Heavy-laden fruit trees. Blush at Autumn's kiss; Spread their luscious harvest, Fill the world with bliss. She comes at Summer’s fading, She fades at Winter’s look; But she leaves a memory with us Of the golden days she took. —Betty Kelso (14), Levin.
