Dear Girls and Boys,— Holiday time is such fun in the League! Membcis I know so well by letter have been coming and peeping round mv door with a shy “Hullo, Kiwi!” And, guess as I might, I simply could not tell who they might be until they told me. Lots of you take correspondence lessons instead of going to a school, 'I know, and among members from the country who came to Wellington were pupils of the Correspondence School, who came especially for the very special exhibition of work which was held, there this week. If you didn’t go, whether you are a pupil of the school or not, I must tell you about it, it was so very interesting. The corridors were lined with tables displaying all branches of school work done by the children, fiom piimeis 1 and 2 to standard 6 and even'up to form 6. _ The primers have made a lovely doll’s house, complete with furniture, the standards have -many drawings and- nature study exhibits to their credit. There are the most interesting project books upon all kinds of things, including “other countries” as well as histories, illustrated, of the particular district the person is living in. Photos of the children are there in dozens, too, and in among some of the English I found work by some of the story-writers of the League. Some of the poems were splendid, and there was even a complete little book of them made by one small person and others by bigger pupils. I liked, the Hobby Club’s exhibits, too, which showed the work covered by the'Junior League of Nations, Penfriends’ Clubs, the Lone Guides and the Boy Scouts. But it would take a whole page to describe it all to you. Adventure Page has been well received, and 1 hope you will not be too excited over your holidays to think of something exciting for it. How about you each writing a paragraph (as well as stories and poems, of course!} on “The most exciting thing that has ever happened to me,” or “My best adventure.” Those who like writing paragraphs about books they have read could think of the most exciting ones about adventure, and they, too, may find corners on the page. But just do as you please, as long as it is exciting and adventurous.
