HAWERA HORSES FOR THE NORTH
J. Fryer’s Big Team Dominion Special Service. Hawera, May 15. J. Fryer left for Waipa last night with Glenthawn, Supreme Court and indiscretion. I. Howe will ride Glenthawn and R. Webby Indiscretion. The latter, who will have her first outing as a steeplechaser tomorrow, schooled well on Wednesday. Provided they race satisfactorily tomorrow, this trio will not return to Hawera, but are to go on to Te Rapa and Ellerslie. They will be joined next, week by other members of Fryer's team in Wotan, Soloist, Le Grand, Copey. One Whetu and Debut, al) of whom are booked for Te Rapa and Auckland. Brioni, Sir Tommy, Hunting Lad and Corowa left by float for Marton this morning. Brioni, who looks much improved since Egmont, will be ridden by S. Wilson. Cynical Kid has been leased by J. Fryer. He seemed slightly sore after galloping on Tuesday morning, and was not accepted for Marton, but should be able to race at Ellerslie. Thus Fryer will have a team of ten at the Waikato aud Auckland meetings. The Adamson Steeples winner, Bean Star, has been sold to a patron of the Hastings trainer, W. D. Young. The purchase at the Corry dispersal sale of a yearling colt by Rabbi from Make Up's dam. Rosemur, by an agency, was on behalf of the Hawera sportsman. Mr. W. O. Williams. Knockout has been turned out. and her place in O. Cox's team has been takeh by the former Trentham-trained Dialogue, and a yearling half-brother by Lavkbam to Lowenberg. The latter will do his future racing as a gliding.
