OCCUPIED HOUSE ROBBED

Bridge Player’s Loss Dominion Special Service. Wanganui, May 15. A particularly audacious theft was perpetrated at a Castleeliff house last Tuesday night while a small party was playing bridge. Apparently in the middle of the game someone gained entrance through a window into a bedroom where the women guests had left their wraps and purses. The intruder stole one purse, which contained about £lO. and left the room by the same means. He then syphoned some benzine from a car outside the house and made his escape. The guests were assembled in another room. Sonic of them heard a peculiar noise, but gave it no attention.
