TAITA CEMETERY

Mr. F. S. Hewer Chairman of Trustees “Tlie shrubs and flowers at the cemetery are looking well,” stated Mr. J. Mitchell, chairman of tlie Taita Cemetery Trustees in his report presented to the annual meeting yesterday. There was also a tine sole of grass. Instructions had been given for more paths to be laid down in the new cemetery, and it would be advisable to obtain prices for forming and gravelling the traffic road leading up to the Roman Catholic portion of the cemetery on the eastern side. The resignation of Mr. J. W. McEwan was accepted with regret. Mr. F. S. Hewer was appointed chairman of the trustees. Mr. J. Mitchell having resigned tlie office after holding it for over 13 years. A motion expressing the trustees’ appreciation of his services during that period was carried.
