Wellington’s Wool Cheque THIS SEASON’S TOTAL £1,825,592 For Five Sales The wool cheque for the fifth and final Wellington sale of the 1935-36 season, held on April 6, amounted to £324,973, bringing the total gross proceeds for the five sales up to £1,825,592, compared with £812,202 for the 1934-35 season, and £1,923,838 for the 1933-34 season. It will be seen that Wellington’s sales this year have returned over £1,000,000 in excess of last season’s figure. Official returns compiled by the'Wellington Wool Brokers’ Association show that the April sale was a very successful one, 28,191 bales being offered and 26,056 bales sold, compared with only 9758 bales offered and 9193 sold at the April sale last year.
