VISIT TO ART GALLERY AND MUSEUM

Eastbourne Councillors Impressed Members of the Eastbourne Borough Council ami their wives were shown over tlie National Art. Gallery and Dominion Museum yesterday afternoon, and were entertained at tea by members of the board of trustees. The visitors were deeply impressed with the architectural beauty of the building; the excellent arrangements for lighting, and the very line workmanship put into the structural work. On behalf of the board of trustees, Mr. J. W. Heenan, in the unavoidable absence of Mr. G. A. Troup, chairman of the building and finance committee, extended a welcome to tile visitors. He spoke of the national character of the work, and referred in appreciative terms to the spirit of the citizens of Wellington and surivinding districts, who had really made the work possible, with the aid of Government assistance. Replying on behalf of the visitors, the Mayor of Eastbourne, Mr. E. W. Wise, said Wellington should be very proud to have such a tine building in its environs. Before the departure of the party from the building, Mr. Troup arrived and was able to explain different features to those present.
