GILBERT AND SULLIVAN SEASON
4 This evening at the Grand Opera House the J. C. Williamson, Ltd., 1936 Gilbert and Sullivan opera season will conclude; The opera selected for this final presentation is the ever-popular “Mikado.” The distinctive charm and the evergreen melodies of this favourite opera will revive many memories of half-forgotten characters and scenes of delicious merriment. Ivan Menzies will again play the part of Ko-Ko. Nanki-Poo will be played by Godfrey Stirling; Pooh-Bah by Richard Watson; Pish-Tush by Gregory Stroud; Yum-Yum bv Winifred Lawson; The Mikado of Japan by Bernard Manning; Pitti-Sin" bv Eileen Kelly; and Katisha by Miss Evelyn Gardiner. Plans are at the D.I.C. and day sales available at the Grand Opera confectionery.
