PANDORA SOCIETY
O A record audience attended “Martine,”a drama in five scenes, played by members of the Pandora Musical and Dramatic Society in their theatrette in A. b, Paterson’s Building recently. Although the play was read, the movements of the players, acting and stage setting followed traditional stage technique. The play is an episode in the life of Martine and it is a particularly sad one. Martine was plaved with deep feeling by Miss D. Hussey, while the part of Madame Mervan was sympathetically lived by Mrs. Grace Walpole. The remaining characters, Jeanne, Julien and Alfred, were very ably played bv now members of the society. 'Miss' M. Wallace. Mr. Denms-tonn-Wood and Mr. Whatninn Mr. P. W. Cousins, the chairman ot the society, directed this splendid play and provided the fine stage effects,
