Personal Appearances In Wellington The St. James and Majestic Theatres registered record attendances both yesterday afternoon and last night when Charles Farrell, the wellknown Hollywood star, who has just finished making a picture in Australia, came on to the stage and spoke and sang to the audiences. There are few who have not seen Mr. Farrell on the screen, and few who have not admired his work with Janet Gaynor. When be stepped on to the stage yesterday, all who saw him were completely captivated by his wonderful personality. Mr. Farrell told amusing stories of his experiences in Australia, where the slang used by the people was entirely new and strange to him. of happenings in England, where he recently made liis first English talking picture. “Falling in Love,” and of bow he first started off in the film world. In conclusion, he sang two numbers from that successful film, "Sunny Side Up,” in which he appeared witli Janet Gaynor.
