Special Ship to be Built for Australia Melbourne, March IS. The Commonwealth Government is arranging for the building of a fisheries research vessel for 'the development, of Australia’s marine resources. The vessel will possess modern features, including equipment for catching surface tisli such as pilchards and sardines, which are a source of considerable revenue in other countries. No attempt will be made to compete witli commercial fishing interests.
