Charlie Chaplin and Wedding Plans (Received March 19. 12.45 a.m.) Singapore. March 18. ■Mr. Charlie Chaplin and Miss Paulette Goddard, whose engagement was recently announced, arrived by the Japanese liner Suwa Marti. The former refused point blank to discuss his private affairs and would neither confirm nor deny reports that they tiro being married by special license tomorrow.
A passenger on the liner, who had conversed with Mr. Uhitplin. was of the opinion that they would tiiarry it jt license was obtainable. Mr. Chaplin and his party went to 1111 hotel.
