Ministerial. The Hon. D. G. Sullivan, Minister of Railways, Industries and Commerce, left Wellington last night for Christchurch. He will return next Tuesday morning. Lord and Lady .Trent, Nottingham, and Colonel F. P. and Lady Victoria Braithwaite, are due to return from the south to-morrow. Sir Robert Anderson, Invercargill, arrived at Wellington yesterday morning from the south. General Sir Cyril Norman Macmullen. G.C.8., K.C.8., C. 8., India, who was this week the guest of his Excellency the Governor-General and Lady Galway, is touring the South Island. He will probably return to Wellington early next week. Mr. C. P. Agar left Wellington last night for Christchurch. Mr. P. Hally, Conciliation Commissioner, left Wellington yesterday afternoon for Auckland. Mr. J. E. Henrys left Wellington last night for the South Island. Mr. K. M. Sleight was a passenger for the south last night from Wellington. Captain R. S. Walton, marine superintendent for the Union Steam Ship Company at Sydney, is paying a brief visit to the Dominion. The Rev- E - c - w - Powell, The Vicarage, Sydenham, Christchurch, accompanied by Mrs. Powell, will leave Wellington by the Ruahine to-day for England, where they will join their daughters and their son. Mr. T. G. Tyrer, Napier, who has been agricultural editor of the “Daily Telegraph” since 1930, has been appointed sub-editor of the “N.Z. Dairy. Exporter.” Mr. J. Earle Brodie, South Island manager for the National Electrical and Engineering Company, will leave during April on a business trip to England and America. His position will be filled by Mr. M, O. Walker of the Wellington branch of the company, who will arrive in Christchurch next week.
