RECORD OF WORK AND INCOME

notice in the current Gazette announces that a census will be taken throughout New Zealand on the night of Tuesday, March 24.

Regulations as to the information to he supplied are also gazetted. These provide that particulars relating to the following matters shall bo obtained:— (a) Relationsbp to head of household.

(b) Orphanhood. (c) of children of married men, widowers, or widows. (d) Occupational status. (e) Unemployment. (f) War service and war pensions. (g) Income for year 1935. (h) Usual place of residence.

(i) Tenure and rent of dwelling. (j) Number of occupants of dwelling. (k) Location of dwelling, (l) Number of poultry kept.
