Some difllculty is being experienced by motorists on the main touring routes through the centre of the North Island south of Tongariro National Park. Both the Talhape and the Parapara routes suffered very severely during the recent bad week-end storm and, with additional wet weather conditions, at present are reported to be very unpleasant.
