ROSE MILDEW
How to Control It From now to the end of the season rose mildew, the commonest and one of the most serious enemies of this beautiful flower, is very active. It is very desirable to keep this disease down'by dusting with a mixture of 2 parts freshly-slaked lime and 1 part of flowers of sulphur immediately an outbreak is sighted. Recognition is easy. Downy white spots appear on the younger leaves, making them look as though somebody had splashed them with dirty whitewash. This is tie stage at which you should come in with the mixture recommended, After the blotches have run together, as they quickly do, and covered leaf, stem and bud, control is almost impossible.
