WEDDINGS

Hiscox—Geddes The wedding was solemnised at the Calvin Presbyterian Church, Brooklyn, recently, of Hazel Margaret, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Geddes, The Parade, Island Bay, to Andrew Valentine Hiscox, also of Island Bay. The Rev. D. M. Hercus conducted the ceremony, and Mr. Bruce, Brooklyn, was organist. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a gown of white satin with a dainty veil surmounted by n coronet of orange blossom. She carried a sheaf of white trumpet lilies. The bridesmaids were Miss Edna Brough, Karori, who wore pink floral georgette and carried a sheath of blue delphiniums, and Miss Myra Child, Palmerston North, cousin of the bride, who wore marina blue floral georgette and carried flame gladioli. Both' wore large crinoline picture hats. The bride’s mother wore green lace with an autumn-tinted shoulder spray, and the bride’s grandmother, Mrs. J. H. Hocking, Palmerston North, was in black brocaded satin, carrying a posy of mauve shaded sweet sultan and maidenhair feru. Mr. R. M. Anderson, Wellington, was best man. The reception was held in the Masonic Hall, Brooklyn, there being over a hundred guests.
