CONCERTS BY CHILDREN

Aid For Bebe Witts-Burt Fund Praise is due to a band of children organised bj little' Peggy Barker, who are holding small concerts in private homes in aid of the Bebe Witts-Burt fund. Mr. and Mrs. Garnor, of Fuller Street, Lower Hutt, placed their home at the disposal of the children for their latest effort, and provided supper for the guests. During tfie evening Mr. Rupert George, of Lower Hutt, helped the children with a variety of novelty items, and Mr. Athol Prentice gave yodelling items with guitar accompaniment. Peggy Barker showed her versatility with humorous items, guitar solos, and songs with her ukulele. Elaine Montgomery’s tap-dancing and singing were a delight to all, and loan Parker’s song and Norma Parker’s tapdance were appreciated. As a result of this effort the sum of £3/2/- has been forwarded to the committee of the Bebe Witts-Burt gift fund. So great, hns been the demand for admittance to these concerts that the children haye’had numerous requests to stage one in a hall, and they are now working on this plan with great hopes of eclipsing their previous efforts.
