1.0.0. F. of New Zealand A good attendance at Southern Cross Lodge No. 24, Wellington, included officers of Wildey Lodge No. 107, Island Bay, and Onslow Lodge No. 128, Khandallah, on official visits. Bro. E. G. ' Miller, P.G., presided. Eight members were reported on the sick list. Accounts totalling £79/12/8 were passed. Two candidates were nominated, and investigation committees appointed. On the conclusion of routine business, an instructive address on “The Future of New Zealand” was given by Bro. A. Leigh Hunt, P.G., to hear whom a large number of members of kindred subordinate and Rebekah Lodges attended. Maranui Lodge No. 124, Miramar. In the absence of the N.G., Bro. E. Prineeps, V.G., presided. Correspondence and accounts were dealt with. One meniber was admitted on transfer, and one member was authorised to receive degree at district lodge. A report on the medical fund was adopted, and it was decided to hold a church parade in conjunction with Rahiri Rebekah Lodge. Onslow Lodge No. 128, Khandallah. Bro. E. A. Gregory, N.G., presided over a good attendance. Correspondence was dealt with, several social invitations being accepted, and quarterly accounts were passed. Several members were authorised to receive degrees at district lodge, the syllabus for. ensuing year was adopted, and arrangements were made for official visits to kindred lodges. Annual Picnic. The fourteenth annual picnic o£ city and suburban 1.0.0. F. lodges was recently held oh Hutt Park, the winners o£ the sports events being as follow: — Children’s Events. Three years and under : N. At the conclusion of the day the prizes and trophies were presented on behalf of the committee by the lady district deputy grand master, Sister M. Sergent.
