New “Gaieties” Show at Opera

House on Saturday

“Fresh Faces,” the current production nt the Opera,House of Stanley McKay's “Gaieties” international vaudeville company, can ho played for only two more nights, as the policy of the company is to stage a new revue each Saturday, starting at the matinee. The second production of this pension is entitled “Life Begins at Eight,” a musical pot pourri which has been a big success in Australia. As in “Fresh Faces.” variety is the keynote of the new offering. Ike Deiavale, the popular Jewish impersonator, introduces a. number of novel and snappy sketches, in which Joe Rox. the Australian loose-legged comedian, Maggie Buckley. the queen of syncopation, and George Corelli, have prpminent. parts. Many delightful song scenas arc included in the new programme, starring Winnie Edgerton, soprano, and Russell Callow, tenor, who have the valuable backing of the “Gaieties Sun-kissed Ballet” and May Brooke’s orchestra. At Saturday’s matinee many valuable gifts are to be given to the children, including' cowboy and Indian suits, tennis rackets, books, teddy bears, dolls, etc. Sente may be reserved nt the D.T.C., ami day sale* ore at the theatre sweet shop.
