Jackson, president of the 50,000 Club, and Sergeant O’Donnell, the Doll's House Art Union in aid of the funds of the proposed art gallery and museum was drawn on Saturday. Before the drawing, the Mayor" expressed thanks to O. M. Ross Co. Ltd., for their generous donation of the dolls’ house and for their efforts in the sale of tickets. He thanked Mr. N. D. Stubbs and Collinson and Cunninghame Ltd. for displaying the house in their windows, and also the ladies who had assisted to sell tickets. The art union had produced the highlysatisfactory sum of £55. The council had voted £250 and the Art Society £25, and a meeting would shortly be called to appoint trustees. No doubt the council would be able to provide a site for the building when it was decided to make a forward move. The Mayoress then drew the lucky ticket, which proved to be No. 2163, J. AV.
