WESTPORT PROTEST
Cancellation of Supreme Court Sittings By Telegraph—Press Association. Westport, January 10. Ata largely attended public meeting held in the Town Hall this evening in connection with the protest against the cancellation of Supreme Court sittings at Westport the following motion was carried unanimously: "That this meeting of citizens of the Buller district emphatically protests against discontinuance of the sittings owing to the volume of business and the hardships such removal entail." The meeting also decided to send a deputation to Ministers at Wellington.
