Sanders and Cornwell Cups

The twelfth annual contest for the Cornwell Cup, competed for by 12ft. Gin. one-design boats of the Takapuna class, will commence off Bayswater tomorrow afternoon. Ports represented will be Auckland, Manukau, Whangarei, Tauranga, Wellington, Plimmerton, Paremata, Lyttelton, Christchurch, Kaiapoi and Dunedin. The Timaru crew were unable to come north. The sixteenth annual contest for the Sanders Cup will commence on the Waitemata on January 28. The provinces taking part will be Auckland, Wellington, Canterbury, Otago and Southland.
