Presentation to Retiring

Matron

At Ohiro Home, Wellington, last week, the whole of the staff met the matron, Mrs. W. B. Hicks, who is retiring on superannuation. In making a presentation of a case of cutlery. Mr. Cooper, on behalf of the staff, wished Mrs. Hicks a most pleasant and happy time in her retirement. He assured Mrs. Hicks that the staff greatly appreciated her many acts of kindness, and her just treatment of them during the years she had been at the home. Mrs. Hicks' expressed sincere thanks for their splendid parting gift. Musical honours concluded a very nicely-arranged send-off. , A most pleasing feature during the past week has been the large number of concerted and individual tokens. of esteem presented to Mrs. Hicks by the inmates of the home.
