Radio Talks
Sir,—'Some time back a well-kuotvn NeuZealand author was appointed supervisor of talks. A general improvement was hoped for. Instead, most of the talks are "records,” which to my mind always seem flat.
Captain Melville used to give us some interesting talks on Yard. He always put a good story over, and has what most lecturers lack, a pleasing delivery. Perhaps the Radio Board are to get “running shoes” too, but till then let them give us less of the record talks and mote of the real thing.—l am, etc., W. J. REILLY. Wellington, January 20.
