Shandon Competitions
A bogey competition played on the Shandon links on Saturday resulted in C. R. Johnston (14) winning with 2 up. The next best card wae put in by W. F. Park (11), all square. A medal round yesterday was won by R. G. Hayward with 73-3-70. Next came D. Rosenbaum, 96-24-72; H. A. Hanson, 90-17-73; and J. Evans, 94-20-74.
In the eemi-final of the Summer Cup. over-36 holes, J. H. Wild beat V. P. Haughton, 4 and 3; C. E. Hollis beat G. A. Ogilvy at the thirty-eighth. A one-day tournament will be held on Anniversary Day. Post entries will be received. Members of golf clubts arc cordially invited to compete. Manor Park Club A stroke competition on the Manor Park links on Saturday resulted in a tie between A. W. Lucas (20) and H. Sherwood (16), who both did 73 net. In’this competition E. Butler holed his tee ehot at the sixteenth hole (235 yards). .Flight competitions resulted as follow: No. 1; D. Butler (5) beat J. Forbes (8), 2 and 1; L. Fitt (S) beat J. A. Ronald (6), 1 up; A. S. T. Butler (7) beat J. L. Barnard (8), 4 and 3; E. Butler (2) bent H. Sherwood (12), 5 and 3. Second round: L. Fitt beat D. Butler, 5 and 4; E. Butler beat A. S. T. Butler, 2 and 1. The final will be played on Wednesday. No. 2: A. W. Lucas (15) beat Mrs. Jackson, 3 and 2; S. Murphy (IS) beat R. Thomas (11). 2 up. Second round: A. W. Lucas (15) beat E. W. Brockett (7), 1 up; S. Murphy (18) beat N. Jackson (14), 2 up. A Stableford competition was won by Daniels (15) with 38. D. Butler (5) came next with 35. A. stroke event was won by I;. Fitt ■ (10) with 72. A. W. Lucas (20) came next . with 73.
