CRUSHED BY LORRY
Man Killed Instantly By Telegraph—Press Association. Greyniouth, January 19. Ronald Furness Sinclair, 21 years of age. a single man, a labourer, of Greymouth, was killed instantly late on Saturday night when he was crushed under a heavily laden lorry, which capsized over a bank at a bend on the main highway between Totara Flat and Raupo. Sinclair had just secured a position with E. Shirley, contractor, of Hokitika, the owner of the lorry, and was proceeding to a job at Raupo when he was killed.
The driver of the lorry, Arthur Hepburn, of Hokitika, was seriously injured. Three other men. Kenneth Allen. Ronald Grafton and Ernest Shackleton, escaped serious injury. Owing to the weight of the lorry and the load It was several hours before the victim was extricated.
