SWEDISH MARKET

Trade Delegation From New Zealand Suggested

Closer commercial' contact between New Zealand and Sweden was suggested by Mr. J. S. Edstrom, vice-presi-dent of the International Chamber of Commerce, president of the International Amateur Athletic Federation, and a member of the Swedish firm which supplied equipment to the Arapuiii power works, when speaking at a luncheon given him in Wellington yesterday by amateur sports bodies.

Mr. Edstrom said Sweden would welcome, if the New Zealand Government could do.it, a visit from a Dominion trade delegation. He was convinced it would do both countries much good. The Swedish Government would regard with great joy "an extended hand” from the New Zealand Government.

There was room for development. too, In the trade between the two countries, especially in the fruit trade. Sweden was second only to Great Britain in its fruit, imports and offered a good market.
