Wanganui. January 14

At a meeting of the executive committee of the Wanganui Swimming Centre, it was decided to donate £2 toward the expenses of sending Miss Patty Watts, of the Central Swimming Club, as the centre’s representative in the junior championship events at Hamilton next week. The Wanganui delegate was instructed to support a suggestion that backstroke events for juniors and intermediates be included on the New Zealand championships programme. Carnivals approved were those at Ar.-i--m'.dio. on January 21; Goiiville. January 25: and Itaetihi, .January 2!l. Final arrangements were made in connection with ‘•Learn to Swim Week,” to commence on January 20.
