Priest’s New Position

Dominion Special Service.

Napier, January 14.

The Very Rev. Dr. Casey, SAL, who for several years past has'been associated wit>li the management of tlie business section of the mission at Mount St. Mary’s, Greenmeadows, will be leaving toward the end of the present month to assume a new position in another part of New Zealand as superior of the Second Navitiate for tbe Australian Province of the Marist Order. During his sojourn in these parts, Dr. Casey lias endeared himself by liis genial and kindly disposition, and made many friends who will wish him every success in his new sphere. Car Badly Damaged.

Dazzled by the lights of approaching cuts on tlie Westshore Embankment, on Sunday night, a baby car left tlie road and was badly damaged through crashing into a fence. The driver, Mr. Ivan Wainliouse Brown, of Eskdale, suffered severe cuts to the hands, abrasions and shock, and a passenger. Nurse N. Dampney, of the Napier Hospital staff, suffered slight concussion and abrasions. The injured persons were given attention by Dr. W. D. Fitzgerald. who ordered their removal to the Napier Hospital, where they are reported to be making satisfactory progress.
