Martha Company’s Work The following information has been cabled to the London office of the Martha Gold Mining Company (Waihi), Ltd.: — “For the period ended December 31, comprising 22 crushing days, 18,578 tons of ore were crushed for a result of 6013 fine ounces of gold, and 36,883 fine ounces of silver. This includes 2020 tons mined from the Grand Junction area, which yielded 528 ounces of gold and 1762 ounces of silver, and also some battery concentrates.”

•{■Realisations not yet available. Gold Mining Returns The Argo Gold Dredging Company, Ltd., advise the following official return for the week ending January 11. Yield, 37 . ounces ; hours dredged, 92; yards treated. 7500. The return last week from tlie Maori Gully dredge, which recommenced work on January 6 after the holidays, was 15oz. 16dwt. for 120 hours. The' dredge lias been working throughout the week in a backwash in a bend of the creek.
