The removal of a bad bend on the New Plymouth-Auckland highway, where the Mountain Road joins the main road between Waitara and Bell Block, has been begun, by the Public Works Department. When the new piece of road lias been formed the Mountain Road will come out a little nearer Waitara than the present intersection and in an easier and naliual curve for traffic travelling in any direction.
