The Commonwealth Statistician reports that the unemployment rate, which was 13.7 per cent, in November, was the lowest since November, 1929, when it was 13.1 per cent. The improvement during the quarter ended November hist was the greatest recorded for any similar period since the tide of unemployment turned in 1932.
