The British Industries Fair will celebrate its “coming of age” next month when it opens at London and Birmingham. The stand frontage of the London section will be over 12 miles, and of the Birmingham section over 11 miles. There will be 11 official exlilbits in the Empire section at Olympia, one of which, organised by the Ministry of Agriculture, will show most of the agricultural products of England and Wales packed under the national markets scheme, together with a special display of canned and bottled fruits and vegetables.
Buyers from 64 countries are expected to attend the fair, of which the largest single contingent is coming from Holland. Germany and Belgium are second and third in respect of numbers attending.
