WILL TOUR DOMINION BEFORE SESSION
Prime Minister’s Intention
INVITATIONS FROM MANY CENTRES
Although he "’ill not be able to leave Wellington until Cabinet has the Government’s policy translated into a form suitable for the law draftsman to proceed with the preparation of the necessary legislation, the Prime Minister, Hon. M, J. Savage, hopes to be in a position to make a tour of the main centres of the Dominion before the opening of the session about the end of February. He stated last evening that he had invitations from both Maori and European centres, but until Cabinet had its policy sufficiently advanced for a start to be made with the drafting of the required Bills, he could not arrange an itinerary for visits to thes u places.
An exchange of views concerning the marketing of New Zealand dairy produce will take place between Ministers of the Crown and members of the Dairy Board at a meeting to be held this morning. Mr. Savage said that the Government had a definite policy so far as the dairy industry was concerned, and it was only right that it should place that policy before the board.
Referring to the work of the Ministerial sub-committees appointed to re port to Cabinet on important questions of Government policy, Mr. Savage said these were making excellent progress.
