SURF LIFE-SAVING

Lyall Bay Club’s Races

After a lapse of three weeks during the holiday season, the weekly series of surf races of the Lyall Bay Surf Life-saving Club were recommenced on Sunday. Some 22 swimmers lined up for the race, and J. U. Blakeley and R. Pelham led the field to the buoy, where Blakeley drew ahead and managed to maintain the lead to the finish.

The winning team and the were as follow: —F. Mollier, G. MilHams, J. Reid. It. Pearce, 1; M’. Bell, M’bb. J. Bell. J. M’illianis. sen., 2.

The first six men home finished in the following order:—J. C. Blakeley, It. Pelham, J. M’illiams. F. Mollier, G. M’illiams, and M’. Bell.
